Roma have joined the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle in pursuing Porto winger Luis Diaz, according to reports in Italy.
The Colombian international has been in very good form so far this season, having scored 11 goals in just 16 appearances for his team, prompting speculation about a potential January move.
Diaz did not impress in Porto’s 5-1 defeat to Liverpool back in September but, at 24 years of age, he certainly possesses the profile that the Reds would be looking for as they look to strengthen their forward line.
It could, however, prove to be a costly transfer with Porto said to be demanding around €60m (£51.3m) for the player, while other reports have suggested that Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the winger.
With Mo Salah and Sadio Mane expected to miss a number of games due to the African Cup of Nations at the start of New Year, reinforcements will be needed, so we shall see if a move is made for Diaz.
